Camera Recommendations

So, I know this isn't exactly a baby item per se, BUT I'd really love to get a nice, new camera before baby comes. I know next to nothing about photography and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on decent cameras that aren't super expensive...we're talking like Target/Best Buy options, not professional photography :) TIA

    The burst feature on the newest iPhone 5 is great for babies! You'll catch every expression and the quality is better than our point and shoot.

    I have a Nikon coolpix and really like it. It's going for around $200 now . Before purchasing this camera I had Kodak cameras which were pretty good. Nikon sells some models for around $100 which I would think would meet your needs just fine.

    I was going to suggest the coolpix as well.  Or a Canon Powershot.
