Strong letdown still?

Hope this hasn't been brought up too recently... But I have a strong letdown and DS chokes almost every time he nurses. I was concerned and said something to the pedi at his 4 month appointment. He wasn't concerned and told me my letdown should regulate and LO will be fine. So I guess my question is, shouldn't my letdown have already regulated (I don't have an over supply) or does that happen over time?

I still have a strong letdown but have an over supply. I thought it was normal and have never thought twice about it.

I still have an over active letdown on occasion. If I feel really full I'll pump for a little while before beginning to nurse. Otherwise he usually gags a bit. I've been this way since he was born...doesn't show any signs of changing or regulating here!

I still have a really strong letdown, sometimes I hand express to let some of the pressure off before she nurses, side lying nursing also helps us.

My husband calls mine Super Soakers because if Alyssa pulls her head back while I'm nursing I can get quite a good long distance stream going.

Try reclining.  I had a really strong letdown and reclining helped.  It allowed Lily the ability to control the flow as well as made everything fight gravity, which helps ease the letdown.  I do have over supply, though.  It has regulated...for the most part.

I still have a strong letdown too, and from my personal experience, the oversupply regulating itself has been taking a while. You're definitely not alone.

I didn't have a strong letdown before, but it's gotten stronger overtime.  I wasn't even able to feel letdown previously - now I definitely feel it and can tell she's working to keep up with it!
