Looking for some insight from people who may have been in a similar situation...
I had to have a c/s with DD due to severe pre-e at 37w 1d and her frank breech position. I'm now 35w 6d with my current pregnancy and I just had an u/s to determine how large this baby is since the last one was so small due to the complication (4lb 11 oz) and we saw that she is head down. I have been planning on a repeat c/s this entire pregnancy because we don't want anymore kids and I planned on getting my tubes tied while they were in there. But at my last appt, the Dr. told me about tubal obstruction as another permanent birth control option. And after seeing that she is head down I have to say I am considering a vbac. Here's the problem, I have no idea how I would labor. With DD, I never even had a contraction. I know that everyone is different and all pregnancies are different but most of the women in my family have had long labors that ended in c/s for various reasons, mostly arrested labor. I would hate to decide to have a vbac, labor forever and end up having a c/s anyways. I know that a vbac is better for you physically but I know what to expect with a repeat c/s and I am better able to arrange child care and help after the birth plus I won't have to go through a second procedure. Any feedback or advice??
Re: 35w 6d and contemplating vbac
DD2 was a quick, easy labor. She was born 6 hours after my water broke with no complications and no augmentation.
