Drinking water while fasting for sugar test?

Hi mommies,

For those of you who did your sugar test already, i know i have to fast but were you able to drink water? I feel like I remember my dr saying it was okay but by the time I had a break from work to call them they work closed already

I'm also nervous about this test idk why!! My tummy is just so sensitive ever since I got pregnant and I hope this doesn't make me nauseous :-/

By sugar test, do you mean the glucose test for gestational diabetes? I didn't have to fast for mine last pregnancy and was told I didn't need to for my test in a few weeks.

They have a sign up at my OB office in the lab and I'm pretty sure it said water is fine but even black coffee is not.  I have a sensitive stomach too and the test was not as bad as I thought it would be.

Yes the glucose test. It went well not as bad as I thought

I have never had to fast for a glucose test. I was just told to avoid tons of carbs beforehand. 

Water is fine.
