Get your flu vaccine

Poor LO has the flu, we were at the emergency room all night. I did not get the vaccine my husband did. He feels fine I'm starting to get sick. LO tested positive for influenza A. She has an intermittent fever, congestion, and woke up this morning with a chest cold. She is on tamiflu. I feel so guilty because if I would have gotten the vaccine she might not have gotten sick since I'm breastfeeding. Don't how she got but it's awful.

Your poor family. Hope LO gets better fast. We have been passing a cold and cough around our family for 2 months but nothing like the flu.

Hope lo gets better soon. Don't beat yourself up about the shot. Even if you had gotten it, there's no guarantee it would have helped to avoid getting the exact strain lo has.

DH and I both got the flu shot and here I am sick with the flu... hopefully, the wee man will avoid getting sick.

Don't beat yourself up. The vaccine doesn't always keep you immune from the flu. I hope your family gets better!

Oh, poor sweet baby. I hope she starts to feel better soon, and you as well! And like PP said, a flu shot doesn't guarantee immunity, so don't feel guilty. Feel better soon!

Our pedi was adamant about both of us getting the flu shot. I don't mess around with shots. I hate needles, but if it might keep LO safe I'll be the first one in line. That being said, don't be too hard on yourself. She needs you to be strong and help her through this. Hope she and you both feel better soon.

So sorry to hear your LO is sick! You hang in there and stay strong..she needs a strong mommy while she's getting better.

I got my shot, but DH didn't. I wish he would..but that's a different story. I am just glad I have mine, and at least she has that line of defense from me.
