What are your LO's obsessions?

DD has a thing for socks.  She insists on choosing her socks each morning as soon as she wakes up.  Then at random times during the day, she decides to change her socks.  She takes off her socks and throws them in her hamper, then comes running to me with a new pair.  At bath time she is all worked up about her socks and has to pick out a pair even though I've started putting her in footie pajamas. 

She is terrified of large stuffed dogs (DS has several and uses her fear to his advantage).  Babies are so weird!

DS2yrs is loving animals right now. Especially elephants. And he gets mad when I wash his face or comb his hair. Lol. I tell him, "I can't let you look like a Raggamuffin!" & he giggles. I think he's teasing me by messing up his hair. Lol

She is obsessed with shoes. She loves taking them out of the basket and putting them back in. She is also obsessed with spiders and animals, especially dogs.

The vacuum. He bangs on the closet door until I open it and get it out. Also, forks. He pulls a fork out of the drawer even if it's just dry cereal and insists in trying to use it.

Lights. He walks into a room and points at the light on the ceiling. The pictures we have on the wall. He will fuss to be picked up so he can look at them. Opening and closing doors.

Obsessed with making animal sounds....but his favorite is the bee sound..zzzzzzzzzzzz...all day. Obsessed with trains and also any empty box, container, plastic bottle or bag...

Baby dolls, animals but mostly dogs, opening and closing the microwave, going "side" or outside, and books.

Books.  She also goes through phases of kissing.  She will just keep kissing me or her aunts and uncles. Bobble heads, she has to say hello to my husbands collection everyday one by one, and some days, kiss them all. She also loves being outside, winter will be tough.  She loves jewelry, she always wants to wear a necklace while I get dressed in the morning, or she will play with bracelets for hours.

We literally have our blender hidden in the hall closet. He goes nuts for it and wants to play with it if he sees it, so it's hidden.

He's also obsessed with any kitchen items, stirring, and collecting things outside (sticks, acorns, leaves, pine needles), putting them into buckets and stirring them.

Carter was born 6.18.12, and I'm due with a little girl on 3.26.14. Same dates! Crazy!

Opening the fridge and pointing at all the things inside.

The broom. He loves to help "sweep".

Baths. He has so much fun in there! We skipped a night and he ran over to the bathroom and cried.This kid loves his baths. Lol!

All of your stories are making me laugh. It seems like DD's obsessions change weekly & she's done many of the things posted above. Currently she loves buses and the scarecrow outside our house. She also wants her socks/shoes off the second we walk in the door.

DD's obsessions change pretty frequently but she has always been really into shoes, hugs, and going outside. Oh, and Cheerios.

Obsessed with almost everything mentioned, except Barney and sub fake nose-blowing for sneezing.  Light switches and socks are huge, also baby legwarmers, he loves to put as many as he can on each arm then cap it with a sock on his hand. Also ladders, tools and books but only if they are about trucks.
