Has anyone taken Provera to induce a period?? How long were you on it and how long after the last pill did AF come? Thanks ladies

    Yes, I've taken provera plenty of times. Each time I was on it for 10 days and started AF on the 7th day after my last pill. I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone though.

    Lots if times here anywhere form 3. -9 days

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Plenty of times here too. I thought I took it for 7 days and usually started a few days later. GL.

    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!

    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    I did. I am pretty sure AF came a week after starting the provera. It made me feel like sh!t too.

    Lots of times. 10 days and AF came within the 10 days I took the pills (usually towards the end). Often times though, provera didn't work for me at all to induce a period.

    I have also taken it lots! I've been on for 10 days, and AF came about a day for 2 after stopping the pills.

    Clomid for 6 cycles starting August 2010- O but no BFP
    SA Septemeber 2010 Looking good 
    HSG September 2010 All clear 
    1st RE visit May 2011 - IUI#1 June 20, 2011: BFN
    IUI #2 July 31 2011: BFP - m/c @ 5w1d
    Surprise BFP on a break cycle 10/4/11, Due June 4, 2012, Born 6/9/2012

    I'm currently taking it and on day 4 so we shall see how long it takes to come after I am done taking it on day 7.

    I was on it several times, each time for 10 days.  Once I got a period on day 9, before I finished taking them.  The other 2 or 3 times, it was 2 days after I was done.
    March 2011: Off Nuva, cycle back to "normal" for me: No periods since 15 years old. June 2011:Provera&50 mg Clomid; Progesterone:0.7 July 2011:Provera&100mg Clomid; Progesterone:3.29 Met with RE:No Clomid response, begin injectables Sep 5 mg Letrozole and Ovidrel in the interim month. Cut out running (was a distance-runner), cycling, eliptical. Restricted to weight-training, walking, pilates. Brain MRI normal. Being physically over-stressed is the reason the body stopped producing prog. Late Sep 2011: Menopur, Ovidrel,& IUI (10.10.11):BFN-Great injectable response: 2 mature, 6 near mature, many smaller; Problem: 9 cysts! Dr: IUI too uncontrolled for number of viable eggs & age. On to IVF! IVF ER 12.6: 37 mature eggs, 27 fertilized, froze all to avoid overstimulation; FET 1.22 (2 Grade 1)=BFN; FET 2.22 (3 Grade 2)=BFP! Beta 10dp3dt=291; 12dp3dt=644; HB 3.26!! 174 bpm: Vanishing twin almost completely absorbed 10wks Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
