Fuck you, Croup.

DS2 woke up last night with the barking cough and labored breathing. The on call pedi told us to sit out in the cold for 15-20 mins to see if it helped the breathing. It didn't so we went to the ER. They have DS2 an oral steroid and sent us home. DH stayed home with him today and DS2 barely ate anything. He feels like shit and doesn't want to go to sleep. FUCK YOU, Croup.

Ugh. We dealt with croup 3 weeks ago. Poor lil man. Hope he feels much better tomorrow!

My kids both had croup regularly when they were younger. Keep that steroid int he house for future use in the middle of the night. Also, if going out int he cold doesn't work, you can turn the shower on hot, steam up the bathroom and sit in there with your LO. It sucks, hope feels better

Unfortunately they gave him the dose in the hospital but I'll definitely try the hot shower next if he has another episode.

Ugh, croup is the worst. With my youngest, he seemed to get it all the time when he was a baby. When we started keeping a cool mist vaporizer in his room, it seemed to help a lot.  Hope he feels better soon.

All 3 of mine have had it in the last two weeks and currently are STILL congested/coughing. Ugh.
