Since it's slow...

Pregnant ladies, tell me your top contenders for the next LO's name.  Are you and DH generally on the same page or are you guys all over the place?

  • @SunshineLady6 I love all three of those!  I can't imagine heading to the hospital without a definite name. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about it!  Did you do the same with DS #1?

@Apollonia Great choice! Classic.  Would the full name be Sam or would it be Samuel or Samantha?

@Nikki223583 I like Ashley Taylor, it strikes me as elegant.  Maybe it reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor.  Love it.  Any reason for the unique spelling?

  • @fishybride82 it will be ash-lee I don't know why I am second guessing it and trying all these other names out ha. But nothing sounds as good as this for our fit.
As someone who spells "Ashley" differently... Really, really think about Ashely.

I'm a huge fan of the traditional spelling.  I'm too traditional for my own good!

  • @babywinks Jack Archer sounds like the name of a badass movie character.  I'm envisioning your baby with dark sunglasses and a leather jacket.  Love it.

@hijinx Amelia is so pretty.  Great choice!

Ya I would think if you are spelling it differently, you could go either Ashlee or Ashleigh, but Ashely I'm not so sure of. It's too close to the original people will probably spell it the normal way and she will just get mad. At least with the other options it's its own variation. Just my 2 cents, not that they matter lol

I agree with this. Ashely looks like a typo to me. I've always liked the double e option though.

  • We are going with Abigail Dorothy. My DH had always wanted to name a girl Abigail so we went with that and Dorothy was my Grandmothers name. It has been the only name that we tossed around that stuck so it just kind of happened.

  • We are pretty set on Charles Ryan (nn Charlie) or Bridget Jean. I'm a little gun-shy about the first and middle initials of B.J. but how often would you actually use just those two initials?? The other option for a girl is Caroline Jean, but I've met a lot of little Carolines lately...  We'll find out the sex on the 25th so I guess we'll go from there :)

  • If it is a boy it will be Ryan Nicholas.  I didn't have a moment where the name just clicked like with Zachary, but we have pored over baby name books and nothing else works for me.  I don't like that we have a name I am just okay with, I guess I can hope something strikes me in the next 27 weeks.

For a girl it will be Chelsea Eliza.  We had that name picked out for baby #1 and obviously didn't get to use it.  It would normally be Elizabeth, but our last name is 14 letters long and I can't do that to a kid (the last name limited some of our boy choices also eliminating Alexander and Christopher).
