Success after IF

Holy Nausea Batman

Nausea all day every day! Blah. I caved and got some reglan from my RE but I can't say it's worked even a hint.
If you ever took meds for MS what worked for you?
Any other secret tips/tricks I'm missing out on? (Sea bands don't do crap)

Thanks for listening to my whining!

Re: Holy Nausea Batman

  • I took a vitamin b6 supplement before and during pregnancy because I read it helped with MS.  I actually never had any MS and never threw up during my whole pregnancy...maybe it is worth a try?

Thanks TJ. Yea, nothing worked with DS either. I don't know why I thought it'd be different this time around.

  • No tips here. Sorry you're feeling unwell though.
  • I'm no help since I threw up until a couple of hours before my water broke, but I did take Zofran for a minute. It only took the edge off and the constipation didn't make up for it, so I didn't continue with it. But, others swear by the B6/ Unisom combo. Other than that, water with citrus fruit slices (regular water made me sick), cinnamon candy, and gum were the only tricks that made a little bit of a difference. Also, if I had a meeting or other short commitment that I needed to get through without throwing up, I'd use a little mouthwash right before. The intense minty feeling was enough to get me through 20 minutes or so when I couldn't get away with chewing gum.

  • Meds never took away my nausea or kept me from vomiting but they were the difference between throwing up 10x a day or just 1-2x. With DD I only
Took zofran but with DS I needed a combo of reglan and zofran.

  • I also took zofran. But be careful to take a stool softener with it but it is constipating. Thats what helped me starting at week 8-15. I took it 2x a day at first then weaned down to 1x a day around 13 weeks. I was throwing up 3-4x a day before taking it. Good luck, I hope you find a combo that works for you.

  • Boo to nausea. Ginger chews from trader joes helped and greek yogurt with honey. Lemonade or lemon water also helped some.
