The newest Rory I know of is a little girl; but, I wouldn't be suprised if I heard it on a boy either.
My other thought on this name? I like it a lot on paper, but I personally have a hard time saying it. The double "Rs" don't roll off my tongue easily, but maybe that's just me!
Me too. I feel like I'm doing a terrible Scooby Doo impression any time I say it out loud. Never sounds so bad in my head, and looks cute on paper. But IRL? Nope.
I think "girl," but only because of Rory Gilmore. I wouldn't think twice if it was a boy because it's traditionally Irish. And for a girl, I wouldn't use it as a full name. It would need to be a nickname of some kind.

I'm with y'all. I find it awkward to say.
Boy.
I hate it for a girl. But I also have known three different men in my life named Rory
