12w sleep regression..

For those of you who have experienced it, how long did it last for you. LO won't nap more than 10min at a time and it takes 2 hrs to go down for the night. Just curious how long I should expect this for? Thanks!

Re: 12w sleep regression..

  • I am looking for hope here too...LO has decided to get her sleep schedule all kinds of messed up...DH has been having a hard time at night, and I too am having issues getting her back to sleep after I get home work...She slept for 5hrs straight today...from 7a till 11a this morning, but was up all hours of the night...she is not napping during the day....my sanity is about to be lost

  • I will be following this thread to see what others have to say, we are going on to week 2 of this sleep regression. However, DS was sick last week with pharyngitis so I'm sure that made things even worse. I did read somewhere that it can last from 2 to 6 weeks.
**really hoping for the 2 week statistic!!

  • For us it lasted about 3 days. Just keep trying to insist on naps even if it means a lot of work to get there.

    Good luck, ladies!

  • Not to scare you, but it lasted 10 days for us. Dd only took 10 min naps and woke up every 60-90 min at night.

  • Thank you for the advice!! @mommyames2 I know I need to update my siggy! I only mobile bump now (no laptop, no work right now) so it may take a while to update!

  • @katie6202 We're going on 3 weeks already. Wait, no, maybe 4 weeks now. It started around 10.5 weeks, and Tyler will be 14 weeks on Wednesday. Tonight was the first night where we had a long stretch again like before this sleep regression (from 7:45-1:15). It was glorious, but I know it may just be temporary. We'll see. Good luck!

  • Nights haven't been bad but she pretty much doesn't sleep during the day. (Granted, she was up pretty often through the night still, so basically nothing changed.)

I can really see the changes and she so much less newborn/infant like all of a sudden that it's really not surprising.
