A cold or just really bad teething?

My LO has had a runny nose on and off for about a month. It got better a couple of weeks ago and now it's bad again and he's got some coughing. He is also putting things in his mouth, but he's not really drooling. He is not running a fever. He seems to want to eat less right now too. Is this just another cold or teething? He only has four so far (two up top and two on the bottom). Could his molars be coming in? He won't let me look inside his mouth, so I have no idea. Just want some thoughts.
