Baby IPad Apps

I need some suggestions on baby/young toddler apps that your LO really likes. We are traveling for Thanksgiving and I want to bring the IPad for the trip but we only have a couple Fisher Price apps and DS gets bored with them pretty fast. Just this week I saw a couple of parents showing apps to their babies and those seemed much better but I didn't ask for names. Any suggestions?

Re: Baby IPad Apps

  • My daughter loves one called Toddler Fish. It's fairly simple, and you can change the difficulty on it.

Baby Finger is a favorite here. Fiete and Learn With Homer are both great apps, but DS is still a little too young for them.

  • Animal Alphabet is another good one. It has beautiful illustrations.

  • DD loves Kids Doodle (it's a black screen and she can color on it- she's 15 months, she loves the colors and thinking she is actually coloring). Magic Fingers, Peg + Cat, and Toddler Fish!
  • DS loves music sparkles and paint sparkles.  Have you turned on guided access?  I love it!!  It keeps LO from pushing the home button and other areas on the screen you don't want them to push such as all those annoying advertisements on the free apps.
  • DS loves Elmo and there is one with ABC's also very educationally, DS knows the letter Y, N, and A which I think is because we go through the alphabet with this app.

  • I have to STRONGLY recommend the app called "Nighty Night".  It's by the same makers of Little Fox Music Box, which someone mentioned above.  Nighty Night is my 21mo son's favorite app/bed time story by far.  And to be honest, I really enjoy it myself.

I agree with this! This one is great and so fun too. Thanks to everyone else for suggestions as we are traveling this weekend and needed some new toddler apps!
