Pelvic floor

Hi all, does anyone know the best exercise to get ur pelvic floor back into a decent state!? Midwives all say the lift and squeeze like ur stopping ur urine mid flow but iv been on the net and saw a lot of things they say not to do this??? Also I don't leak when laughing, coughing ect but iam finding it alittle hard to hold my urine completely mid flow, is this normal? I had a vaginal delivery 12 days ago and my baby was 8lb 8!

  • @GhostMonkey - thanks for interesting links. I always doubted whether kegals actually worked, because they never seemed to help me PP with my first. I still had leaking when sneezing, even after a year PP with regular kegals. Now, I'm 31 wks pregnant with my second. A little before I got pregnant, I really got into bar method type workouts that focus on glutes, quads, hamstrings & seats. Because they are low impact, I continued with them throughout my pregnancy and now I don't have sneezing accidents at all. I thought it would get worse with pregnancy but it's actually better! I haven't really done kegals with this pregnancy.
