Time to check in ladies!
My dr confirmed today that baby has dropped! I noticed it a couple days ago and walking around is soooo uncomfortable now. With my due date 2 weeks away I could go at any time. It's so hard to keep myself distracted!! So far baby is doing great so no reason to induce. Fingers crossed I'll go on my own!
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.
Re: November EDD check in
I had my Drs apt. today. Cervix is thinning out but no dilation. Had a discussion with the Dr I had my appointment with today about avoiding at all costs one of the Drs in the practice. I flat out told her "I'd rather have the janitor deliver me than Dr. XYZ." And I am not kidding. With my daughter he stripped my membranes without asking me first or me requesting it to be done and I was no where near dilated. It hurt like hell and started my 3 day labor ordeal. Then after I gave birth I was having issues with heightened blood pressure (I have no issues with BP at all either before or during pregnancy) and fluid retention. I was miserable. The day I was released from the hospital my legs were so swollen I couldn't even bend at the knees. I made an apt. to be seen in the office the following day and had to see Dr. XYZ. He blew me off, told me he had seen worse swelling than mine and asked me if I was depressed. Oh and in the middle of his !@# holery he took a personal phone call. NOT A FAN of his.
Was basically told the only way to truly avoid him is to be induced so you can for the most part pick your Dr. I have a lot to think about. I get to see my own Dr. next week and she actually delivered me last time so I will discuss further with her. Other than that I wait and wait and countdown my final week of work and then countdown to my due date of the 21st.
