  • Yes! DS turned 8 months yesterday and mastered crawling at the same time! It's amazing and scary at the same time. Now I can't leave him alone anymore, and we are lowering his mattress tonight.

  • we lowered mattress once she could crawl, but now between pulling up AND getting taller, we're doing it to the very bottom this time.....

i thought you meant little monster like mine has been! we've had some full blown FITS....as in, leg kicking and arm swinging yelling when i pull her away from something....its a little funny to see but i try not to laugh when she's looking

  • I knew we should have lowered in weeks ago, but you just dont think they can do those things yet lol. he hasnt thrown a fit YET, i am waiting for it! He's actually a very easy going baby and doesnt cry unless hes super tired; he loves to fight his naps.

  • My DS is crawling around very quickly now.  I seriously have to watch him very closely to make sure he doesn't head towards something he shouldn't - like the stairs.  Also, he has decided to empty out all of the baskets in his dresser - every day!  My favorite is how he has learned to stand up on his changing table by holding onto the wall.  Crazy!

  • Hahaha, they are busy now, huh? My little guy has a pretty happy demeanor most of the time, but lately he has a full blown temper tantrum when I change his diaper, because he has to stay still for 45 seconds, he does the leg slam that y'all are talking about and screams. It's funny to me bc it's the only time I see him get mad. Isn't it funny to see their little personalities starting to come out?

  • Yup!

DS managed to pull himself up and then pull a hamper down on top of him and knock one of his front teeth loose just the other day. Dentist said it'll heal (and it mostly has) but his bottom teeth will be crooked until he looses them.

My poor SIL, her DS has been pulling up/climbing on things since he was just shy of 6 months old. They don't have the balance/filter/learning capabilities yet so she's had to deal with lots of bumps and bruises.

DS just put 1 and 1 together to figure out he can pull himself to standing in the crib, so we'll be lowering it in the next few days before he figures out how to really climb.

  • DD began pulling up at 6.5 mo, cruising at 7 mo and is now standing for a few seconds at a time in her own. DH and I both walked at 8 mo and early walkers run in both our families.

She is crawling everywhere and we cannot baby proof the apartment completely so I simply cannot take my eyes off of her. Luckily she figured out how to fall on her butt instead of her back fairly quickly so there's that. But we've got hard wood floors so she has tiny brown bruises on her knees from crawling so much. :(

@pavlovcat I am so fascinated by our LOs desire to do EVERYTHING that we do! It is so amazing how we humans are all hard wired as babies to learn how to survive as we grow.

  • Babygirl has been crawling for about two months. She just started standing for a couple seconds on her own. And last week she crawled to the 6th step! So be careful of steps!!!

  • Not much rest here either! DD is crawling everywhere and looking for trouble! She pulls up on everything, opens drawers, tugs on curtains and pulls down the fake tree in the living room. She is always on the go now! Fun times :D

  • My son is so adventurous its scary. He's 7 1/2 months and started standing before he could crawl. He's into everything 24/7. His twin brother is still trying to get his bearings but when he catches up and is on the move pray for me.
