Great Lengths Vs Locks of Love

I have a hair apt today and I'm pretty sure I'm going to chop my hair off. I donated my hair after Ds was born to Great Lengths bc I remember reading somewhere that Locks of Love actually sells its donated hair. Is this true?? Also, cutting 10" will put it just past my shoulders. Does anyone have any recs for easy hair styles??

Good to know about LoL. I wonder if 8" will put my hair at a weird length though. I'm terrible at doing my hair...

I'm donating soonish and I am going with Pantene.  My hairdresser prefers it.
