Car seat screaming

Advice please!! My LO has started screaming/crying in the car seat and I'm super worried because he gets so out of breath. I don't know what to do. I try to talking to him, hold his hand (if I'm not driving), give him toys, etc... But nothing works. He used to cry a little when I buckled him but would be good to go once we started moving. I'm sure it doesn't help that we hardly go anywhere. I really need some advice please. Thanks!!!

My DD freaks out in the car, too. I just bought a travel white noise machine and I *think* it's helping. I also adjusted the shoulder harness on her carseat. I feel so helpless when she's screaming!!

Yes!!! I feel helpless and so confused as to what to do. I have adjusted the harness too. He's growing so fast that I have to keep up. He's going through a stage where he is crying more and much easier but I don't think that has too much to do with the car seat. I know he hates it, always has. But I have to figure something out about this screaming. I am truly worried because of him getting so out of breath from screaming.

Thanks ladies. We have the mirror. And the car seat says to keep the handle down when driving but I might try some toys on there. I've put turn on there for our walks and he liked them. If nothing works, I guess we will go car seat shopping. We have to go to the Dr on wed so we will see how that ride goes.

Our seat we have now is adjustable, as far as how flat he rides. I may try to sit him up a little more too. He def has reflux so maybe that was the problem. Eek, I feel horrible for not thinking of that.

The only thing I have been able to figure out is that he gets really hot in there. I dress him really light now and take a blanket. I did set it up a little higher and it seemed to maybe have helped a bit.
