Pregnant after IF

Tell me odds are in my favor and I am being silly...updated

I have my NT scan tomorrow and I am so excited! But there is still a tiny piece of me that worries we might not see a hb. I had an u/s at 7 weeks. We think we have found the hb on our home doppler twice at 9.5 weeks and 10.5 weekd.... but at my last ob appointment the doc didn't try to find it (I think because we were discussing my bp issues) and I was so caught up in discussing my bp/pree issues that I forgot to bring it up. The odds of not seeing a hb would be like crazy low, right? Right?

Update: We had the scan and everything looked great! Baby was doing flips.

  • may the odds be forever in your favor!

I think you will fine and you'll have the little heart beats chugging along, no worries :-)

  • Loading the player...
  • Risk of miscarriage goes down 5% after the heartbeat is found between 6-8 weeks and it goes down to 3% after first tri. Good luck tomorrow and make sure you show us a picture of your LO!!!
  • i think it will be okay!  i don't like home dopplers for this reason exactly.  my friend offered me hers - i said no  because i know if i had one in my possession i would check every hour and obsess if i couldn't find one.

    good luck and relax :)

  • Risk of loss goes down after you have the heartbeat. I know how scary loss is. A mantra that helped me is "most pregnancies end in babies". Good luck!

  • I get it where you are coming from. I was really nervous before my NT scan and I had an ultrasound 8 days before. I'm sure everything will be fine. Fingers crossed for you!

  • I think staying positive is the best choice all around. Maybe I can start practicing what I'm saying! Ha. It is so hard for us but we gotta hang in there. This can happen!

  • I don't know if that fear really ever goes away.  Every single time I go to the doctor I worry there won't be a HB anymore.  But...there is.  And at your nt scan there will probably be one for you too.  The odds are definitely in your favor!!  Good Luck
