Today is the day!

Today, my little man is 2! Happy birthday to anyone else who's birthday is today, too.

We had his party on Sunday and it was nice and low key. Leading up to the party was another matter. Three days before the party, my SIL and youngest nephew came down with croup; soon after her oldest son came down with it as well. At first I didn't think it would be a big deal that they still come if they felt like it. Of course, my mother acted like she would catch her death if she came, so she said that she would travel 2.5 hours to just drop off his birthday gift. When I found this out I had to tell the other family members not to come (in hind sight, this would have happened anyway since we had too many little kids there, and it's a very contagious virus). My mother had the audacity to say to me "Well, I hope you're not mad at me!". No, why would I be mad at you for acting like YOU are the 2 year old?!  I'm surrounded by drama queens in my family...

Well, thank you for letting me vent here. And be on the look out for croup. Apparently it's already a bad season for it this year.

Happy birthday to your baby boy!  DD's b-day is on Saturday, I'm not ready for her to be 2!  Where have the last 2 years gone?! 

I've been sick every other week since mid September and it's getting old.  Everyone else in my house has been pretty healthy - I wonder why I keep drawing the short straw...

Sorry for all the drama, but croup does suck.  Both boys just got over it and it was hard listening to them wheeze and cough.

Well, LO ended up getting sick on his birthday. He has swimmer's ear + pink eye. What more could you want for your birthday?! At least he has tubes in his ears, so it wasn't worse.
