Question for the Boston ladies! (Update)

If you remember a few weeks ago, I posted about my RE being terminally ill and having to sell his practice. It looks like Boston IVF is taking over his practice. Dr. Steven Bayer is seeing patients now. Any input on him? As DH and I are talking about #2, it got me curious! Thanks!

Update:
So, I talked to one of my nurses today and apparently they do not have an RE at my clinic at the current time. They are doing all monitoring in Albany and then anyone doing IVF has to travel to Boston IVF for ER and ET. Craziness! Anyway, when, if, I ever get a period I'll call so they can do CD 3 bloodwork and u/s and schedule a SHG. Thru said I don't need a repeat HSG, yay! If no period I'll just call when A is weaned. My nurse said they won't do any meds of any kind if you are nursing even once a day.

I don't have any experience with Boston IVF or that Dr., but I went to RSC (based in Lexington) and had a really great experience. I see Dr. DiGirolamo and she's fantastic. Good luck finding a new doc!

Boston ivf is a baby factory and are overpriced. Also my girlfriend didn't have a great experience there. I go to fertility solutions dr Huang they are amazing and affordable.

Thanks ladies. I actually love my clinic and if needed, I plan to stick with them as I love the embryologist and the nurses. I'm hoping that Dr Bayer is a good fit. We have another clinic in the area, but as @Luvboston said, they are a baby factory outrageous number of IVF cycles and I have not heard many nice comments about them.

Sry havent heard anything. I know it can be very stressful switching re's. I see the same dr as gmc222 at rsc. Just wanted to wish u good luck!

Like a few PP I am also a patient if Dr. DiGiralamo @ RSC and couldn't be happier. She's great and I'm in love with her nurse Lisa. GL!

I had Dr. Vetiello at Fertility Centers of New England .. recommended two friends there one that came from a small no name practice and one from Boston IVF... both like FCNE MUCH better (and had better results already !!!!) They just opened a boston office i know!

Yikes - Albany to Boston is not exactly a hop skip and a jump! You should just come to CT and go to my clinic Hell it's probably closer than Boston

Are you guys still thinking about starting with an IUI?

I used to see dr Bayer and he was wonderful... The clinic felt like a factory and was the reason we left.

Whenever AF shows we are going to do all our repeat testing. If scans and bloodwork are the same as when we tried the first time, I think we will try 1-2 IUI's. If my AFC is down, or anything else suggesting less fertility, we will go right back for IVF.

I bet your clinic is closer then Boston! I'm hoping we like whichever RE becomes permanent at the Albany office. I love the nurses and the embryologist. It's also only 35-40 minutes from me, a huge plus! FX we get a surprise and all of this 'planning' will not be needed

FX for that surprise and FX for a great new RE. I still feel awful for what's happening with yours.
