For something to be genetic how far in the family tree can they look up evidence of some special needs delays.

Would anything from 2nd or 3rd cousins be considered?

We noted things about my husband's cousin's kids during our initial appointment since there are issues cropping up in the younger generation on that side of the family (including Asperger's and SPD). They wanted to know about the sex of the children involved, birth order, and the nature of the disabilities. Most of the focus was on us as parents and the kid's grandparents, great aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles, and first cousins.
