Does anyone have advice/warnings about going to the mountains @ 16 weeks pregnant with twins? I don't plan on participating in any activities, but was considering going with friends. I know altitude is a problem later in pregnancy, but can't find any info about earlier in pregnancy.
I'll ask my doctor when I see her next week, but plans are being made now.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Altitude concerns @ 16 weeks with twins?
I've never heard of an issue with altitude ever. They let you fly until fairly late in pregnancy, but I think that's due more to not having access to medical care en route if something were to happen that the actual act of flying. Then again, everything is pressurized, so altitude probably isn't an issue anyway.
Lots of people live in the mountains, I assume they get pregnant, so I don't think it would be an issue, but I'd ask your doctor about that.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
