hi ladies..
DH and i have been ttc for over a year with no luck.
His SC is low and therefore he had the varicoseal surgery, but we wont know the results until February. If his count doesn't as least double, we'll have to attempt IVF. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this and what were your results?

Re: Male infertility=IVF??
aww..thank you! its a crossroads thats difficult to think your way through.
My husband is a HUGE steelers fan by the way (we're from WI so I'm a packer fan) and we're going to the packer/steelers game next year!
If you'd like my friend's email address to talk about what you're BOTH going thru right now, I'm sure she'd love the support!?
Gotta love a good Steelers fan!! DH and I got engaged at a steelers game...we are hard core! haha
If you dont think she'd mind, i'd love to talk to her!
Give me your email address and I'll pass it along. They're great people. She's a surgical nurse (so she gets LOTS of insights from many docs) and he's a teacher. They also tried for a year and are exactly where you are right now in the process.
Warning: They're Bears fans. Why the heck are all these WI-people fans of other teams??? wtf...
bears fans..boooo! lol
oh good..i'm excited to hear from her... my email is autumnandmatt@yahoo.com
thank you so much!!
ps. your babies are ADORABLE!!
Thank you - are you ready for the possiblity of multiples? My husband's cousin's just had twins thru IVF...I love it when it all works out for people...?
its so funny... when dh and i first started dating and talked about having kids, he always said "i'm going to give you twins!" (never knowing what we know now)
We both would love to have twins... I mean, i know its not all roses and smiles, but i think the challenge would be half the fun (when looking back, of course! haha)
I just keep thinking if we do IVF, how many embrios would we put back in?
i def want to do more than one..and no more than 3... but 2 or 3...thats where i get stuck.
We had male factor infertility and did IVF with ICSI. The first time around we put back two embryos on Day 3. It did not work out. The second time around all of our embryos were looking good on Day 3 so we waited until Day 5. By then we had two grade A blastocysts and one morula; the other embryos were in the process of arrest and deterioration. We were only planning to put back two, but our RE recommended putting back the morula as well so we did. I ended up getting pregnant with twins - who knows if the morula was one of them? In any case we are thrilled. Best of luck to you and maybe I will see you on this board in a few months!
We have MFI and did IVF with ICSI twice as well as one single frozen embryo transfer. Thankfully we got our BFP after IVF #2 and are expecting twins. Good luck to you!
Hi,
We did IVF w/ICSI after 18 months of trying with male factor. We put two 3 day embryos in and we had our twins.
Then 4 months later we got pg again. Needless to say it was a surprise. We were told that IVF works best with MF and I have no regrets, but wonder if IUI would have been successful as well. My dh had low count/motility. Best of luck to you! I remember all the feelings of excitement and hope!
