We are having a tough time deciding on a name for Caroline's brother! Thoughts on Jay?

I don't care for Jay as a stand alone name.  Okay for a nn for James, Jason, etc.

Grady, Henry, Cooper....we have been kind of all over the place. We love Caroline but are having a hard time getting the same feeling about a boy name.

I don't like Jay as a first name. Maybe as a nn for something. I like Henry and Cooper though. What about Cooper Jay?

I love Henry.  I think it pairs really nice with Caroline (which I also love).

I'm in the minority--I love Jay!  DH vetoed.  I think I just have a good association from a professor I had and The Great Gatsby (maybe a little warped, but I think everything he did to try to get his woman was sweet).

I love Jay on its own (it's been a full name since the Middle Ages; it's a nature name related to bluejays). It reminds me of The Great Gatsby, which I totally love.

DH has niece Caroline, nephew is Alex (Alexandre... Their dad is French). I think those two sound nice together! I do like Jay though!
