Schedule?

When did you put your twins on a schedule? Mine are 2 months old and wondering if it's too early. The problem is DD1 is 5 and has school 4 days a week as well as various activities 3 days a week. Tips? Advice?

I started loosely following an EASY schedule around that time but I would say the schedule wasn't really working well until about 3.5 months. Then it was a really great thing for everyone. Babies know what to expect and we could plan around sleeping/feeding times. We've had some schedule adjustments with dropping a bottle feeding and adding in a solids feeding but overall it's stayed roughly the same. You could plan your activities within the "awake times" windows.

Around that age I just started writing down the times when LOs would eat and how long they'd sleep and saw the schedule kind of make itself. I also followed the EASY pattern with feedings every 2.5-3 hours and naps after an hour and a half of awake time (though at that age they were still napping in swings...didn't put them down in cribs for naps until they hit about 4 months). Granted, I don't have any other kiddos, so that does make things a tad more complicated for you.....but I did notice that the consistency of intervals between feedings and naps was more important than exact times. HTH a little.

We also did the EASY schedule from very early on. I have an app on my iPad where I keep track of when they sleep and eat and lately I have noticed that they have fallen into their own schedule so I will probably start to use that to schedule by the clock now that they are older.
