I would love to have this test this time around. If I understiid correctly, this is only in the uk right now?? My pre-e/hellp was discovered literally the day before I was induced, all of the tests for it were good right up until than, so if I had the opportunity to know if it was going to happen this time I'd take it.

I "think" it has only been studied there. It seems like it is just another test they can run on your blood. I'm not sure if your doctor can order it here or not but I'd love to hear if your doctor can. We are planning to try in about 6 months and my fingers are crossed that some miracle cure/treatment will develop between now and then. I know it won't but this could be a step.
ETA- I am not a nurse or in the medical field so I could be completely off. That is just what I gathered from the article. So if anyone knows more about it I'd be all ears!
I have an appointment tuesday afternoon, I will definitely be putting this on my list to ask about. The worst he can say is its not available here. I will definitely update with what he says.

Thanks, I didn't realize I would have so many questions this time aroud, but most of them are due to the issues with my daughter. I have been researching preventative measures, which means more questions for my dr lol.

My friend is a doctor and she said she loves when patients have questions... otherwise they always forget stuff and have questions later which makes everything more difficult. I always wrote down a list and went through them when I met with the doctor. I'd love to hear which preventative measures your doctor recommends. I've heard about a baby asprin regimen and I'm going to ask about that before I get my IUD taken out and try next time!
So far the baby aspirin is the only one he recommended, he said its the only one with enough studies for him to recommend without doing more research on his end, but he is willing to imvestigate any options I find and is looking into other studies that may be relevent to my history. Since this pregnancy was a result of failed birth control we didn't have a chance to do the legwork beforehand.

I just found this too... apparently it is being done in the UK and identifying 96% of women who will deliver in the next two week!
GOOD LUCK at your appointment!!!!
