First steps

Well after the terrible day we had Benjamin rewarded me by taking his first steps tonight. We got 4 whole steps out of him!!! So happy DH was home to see it. We've been going back and forth for awhile and tonight he finally did it. Cannot believe it. So how long after your Little ones took their first steps did they start walking? I'm scared! Haha

Yay, B! O started taking steps a little over a week ago. Did it a couple of times a day for a few days, but now she has decided that she she doesn't like it. I think she's scared of falling.

I do think it's unusual what she's doing though and I'd bet he will be walking all over the place within a couple of weeks.

I was wondering this too. V took his first two cautious steps on Friday. A few more yesterday. I think he shocks himself and then sits down! Won't repeat them. I guess it will be soon enough.

Wishing time will slow down....he's growing so fast!

It happened pretty fast for DD.  I'm thinking within two weeks.  Just when I got used to her needing furniture to pull up to walk, she figured out how to get up all by herself.  Scary!

Abby did the same thing.

DS took his first solo steps o e day, then about 2 days later he was full on walking. It's been about a month now, and he's learning to run

we are still working on Z standing by himself and we try to get him to walk from the chair to the ottoman. He is doing better at actually taking steps instead of just scooting his foot and falling to it . I don't think he'll be walking by the time he's 1. He didn't fully crawl till the day before he turned 10 months.

A started taking steps about 10.5 months, but went to mostly crawling then back to trying harder and at about a month he was going very well. I can't stop him now! all he does is walk everywhere. Even stands up from sitting and goes! He's grown so fast!

DD has been walking while holding onto furniture since labor day, but still hasn't stood or taken any unassisted steps. I'm getting worried.

No need to worry. Z was pulling up and cruising on furniture before he ever crawled. I think he was about 7 months. He can't stand more than 5 secs by himself and that's me helping him practice  and just started taking steps last week. It will happen .
