Hi Ladies... I have a dentist appointment next week to get a filling. My dentist said I'd have to pump and dump afterwards. I'm curious if once is sufficient, anyone else had this happen and talked to anyone other then a dentist about it? Thanks!
Assuming you are just getting novacaine and maybe some gas there is no reason to pump and dump. But you can always call the infant risk center at 806-352-2519 to ease your mind.
I work as a dental assistant and I have never heard of having to pump and dump from having novacaine. It isn't injected into your blood stream and it is such a small amount. I would definitely check with your pedi but I haven't heard off needing to do this.
I've never heard if that. I just had a filling and my dentist didn't tell me to. Also most dentists don't use novacaine anymore. It's lidocaine.
