NBFR NabiJr tablet

Ok, so if any of you remember the sink I put up about SD getting a tablet last year (until she came to us with her own saved money this year and I simply couldn't find a reason to say no), you're probably shaking your heads at the thought of me being willing to get DS a tablet for his birthday next month. But I guess a lot of parenting is learning and hindsight.

So anyway, I think we have decided on the NabiJr. Anyone have any reviews on it? Or recommendations on other tablets for a 4yo? I don't want to spend over $125 period.

As a side note... Is DS ready gonna be 4 next month? Waaaahhhh!!

Re: NBFR NabiJr tablet

  • I'm not sure about the Nabi Jr but we bought leap pads for SD an SS 3 years ago and they love them! They are 7 now and still love them. We've just bought them new games as they've gotten older an it's been great! We've never had any problems with them.

  • Im interested to see the responses. I was thinking about getting a tablet as a shared gift for the kids for Christmas.

Also, I was pissed when they got an Ipad at XHs house last year I thought it was ridiculous and they didn't need it. Well, now that I see how much they love it I'm buying them a (cheaper) tablet so I guess you can put me in the hypocrite club too, lol.
  • We have the LeapPad2, and I HIGHLY recommend it. There's the LeapPad Ultra now, and I believe they still sell the LeapPad2 as well. DS got the LeapPad2 for Christmas last year (so when he was 4) and it's a huge hit. There are a lot of game options, and several "apps" on the Pad. DS loves the art studio app and he loves the camera on there. We have I think 7 games and 1 ebook.

  • Well we went ahead and purchased the NabiJr this evening. The deciding factor between everything was that the NabiJr comes with the special features of the Nabi and also all the android app availability.

So now we have ordered Christmas presents from Amazon and gotten Wyatt's birthday present. We may get individual Santa gifts or pick from what we have already ordered or if I can find a good deal on a Wii we might get that as a joint Santa gift. Almost done!
