What does "muffia" mean?

I heard a mom at daycare comment to another mom about a third mom being a "muffia" DS was ansty to leave and I wasn't part of the conversation so I didn't ask but later was thinking "What does that mean?" I tried to Google it but kept getting "Muffia Porn" so I'm really hoping that's not it.

I checked urbandictionay and came up with these answers https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=muffia.  My guess is #3, which may be something like what @MrsMuq mentioned (although I have not read the book she referenced).  Hopefully the DC moms don't know about each other's shaving habits....
