Pregnant after 35

No movement

I know that I've complained about this before.. but here I am at 20.1 and I still don't think I've felt her move!  It's starting to concern me now.  I have anterior placenta and I am a FTM so both of those count "against" me but it's just freaking me out a bit.  Seriously, if this baby is truly the size of a cantaloupe (or there abouts) shouldn't she be strong enough to kick hard enough for me to feel?  Or maybe somethings wrong with me.  I just don't know.  I don't see the OB for another 2 weeks.  Maybe I simply have an inactive baby?  How can that be good?

Re: No movement

  • I've heard of so many women with anterior placenta upset because they can't feel baby move, I'm really sorry you're missing out but please don't worry, it's very common! Baby will just have to get bigger before you will feel anything. I know that stinks but don't get discouraged, your day will come! Hugs!

  • I have an anterior placenta and I'm not a first time mom. I barely feel anything, if I'm not supper careful paying attention I would totally miss it. I'm going nuts here also but I just keep telling myself that it won't be long and then I'll be complaining that this boy is trying to bust out the hard way.

  • I am almost 26 weeks with an anterior placenta and the movement that I do feel is very, very slight.
  • I had an anterior placenta with my first baby and I didn't feel any movement until sometime between 22 and 23 weeks, hopefully you'll feel movement within the next week or two :)!
  •  You will start to feel something soon.  It can be frustrating to wait but it will happen.

  • Thanks everyone.  It really is frustrating... I mean I think I sometimes feel something but nothing definite and so then I just assume it's some bodily functions or my mind.  Nothing pronounced.
I will continue to wait and see.  Again, thanks!
  • I had an anterior placenta with DD and didn't feel anything (that I recognized as movement) until 24 weeks. After I knew what I was feeling, I realized that I'd been feeling it for a week or so already! Hang in there, it'll happen soon!
