Foam or Coil?

My DH and I are mattress shopping for the baby's crib. Does anyone know if it is safer for baby to sleep on coils or foam? Also, firmer is better for baby, right?

Personally I went for coils. Yes, mattress should be very firm. I don't know if it makes a difference of foam or coil as long as it's firm.

I think we are going for coils.  We have a tempurpedic and I loathe it.

It doesn't matter whether you choose foam or coil. You just need to make sure its very firm.
