I just saw what you wrote about your husband's partially detached retina. If you haven't already, you really should take him to the ER, or a retinal specialist if there is one in your area. I used to work for a retinal specialist, and if it's partially attached still (macula on), most or all of his vision can often be saved. Once the macula detatches entirely, a lot of complications--immediate and future-- can arise. I hope everything is okay!!

  • He didn't go on right away (against my urging) but went early this morning. No retinal tear, just a very minor tear in the viscous (is that right?). The doc wasn't sure why he's having peripheral vision issues...it's very minor, but there. She's positive there is no tear. He'll go back in two weeks for a flow up.
