Does anyone have any recommendations for any good walkers or sit-to-stand toys? We were looking at the radio flyer walker, but am appealing to those in the know. DS only recently started crawling so he's not close to walking, but he's starting to motor over to things and reach up, so I'd rather he pull up on something other than our bar stools or other equally unstable things!
We have the v-tech sit-to-stand. Amazon reviewers loved it and so does our baby, but it is super annoying sound-wise. It is not 100% stable when pulling up, but our baby sort of climbs the front of it and it doesn't tip. Overall, you would probably like it unless you are sensitive to noisy toys. We have the tiny Step 2 sports thing that is a slide. I do not think it would work to pull up on this from the side, but she pulls up in the middle (putting her hands on the stairs to the slide) and it does not tip. It's fun and I recommend it, but not without close supervision for learning to pull up since it could tip. We have a bright starts walker and her toes barely touch, so it functions like an exersaucer. No one recommends these anyway due to safety issues and that they don't help you learn to walk. We have a toy that you sit on and push with your feet that you can also push from behind. She cannot reach, but likes to be pushed on this. It again is probably not 100% stable to pull up on, but our LO won't even attempt it with this toy. Our best early option was the box this came in, which was about 3 ft long and 1.5 ft tall. We cut some hand-holds in the top and put weights inside, and it is still the best thing we have for pulling up.
I agree vtech. We have the walker that has a panel with lights buttons and music that comes off, my LO loves it. Got at Target, cheaper online than store but if u take it to customer service they will give you online price.
We have the fisher price lion. He loves it. He's pulling himself up onto more stationary things right now, but he will use his lion to pull up onto his knees while he focuses on keeping the wheels from rolling it away from him. Of course, I turn into a hovercraft parent when this happens.
