I got it mixed up last week, but I think @Chiwifey is throwing Chibaby his 1st birthday party this weekend?

What are your plans for the weekend?  Anyone going to a belated Halloween party?  Football?  Raking leaves?  Who celebrates Día de Muertos?

We area inch this weekend! Woohoo. Well, moving sucks. But I'm excited about te new house. And my mom is coming Sunday and staying for the week while mh is OOT so that's awesome!
E is involved in a language development study. My friend is the researcher, and it's really neat.

@TJ1979, yeah, moving sucks big time, but yay for the new house!  Glad that your mom can come help out while YH is away.

I'm taking M for an infant study at the Childrens hospital today (hence for the QOTW).  Then we have this weekend free... sort of. Will need to clean the house in advance of M's birthday party next weekend.  DH is responsible for getting party needs (plates, utensils, decorations)!  I also should sit down and plan the menu out and start getting ingredients.  DH will be away Wed-Fri next week so not only I'll be flying solo, I'll also have to start prepping foods for M's party.  My parents arrive next Friday.  It's going to be crazy!

QOTW: M is on the database of 3 different research labs in the Boston area.  We've been going since he was 3 months old.  Majority of the studies have been just a 1-time visit.  So far he has participated in 9 studies, and 3 more are on deck over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the hugs!  It's been a long week. 

We have NOTHING on the schedule for this weekend and I'm so excited.  We need a few days to chill out and be lazy.  I'm sure we'll find little things to do (like the house desperately needs a cleaning!), but no parties or driving out of state for us.

QOTW:  No, we haven't signed DS up for anything like that.

Tonight I will be drowning my work sorrows in my wine glass.

Tomorrow - we have a play date. And I can't wait. One of my friends who had a LO almost 5 months after M was born. Even though 5 months is a big gap at this age, it's the first time we've gotten together with another baby. They are coming late afternoon and we'll grill some steak tips as well. SHould be fun.

Nothing else planned - hoping to spend time applying for jobs and also going to church.

My friend and I are going for pedicures at this ahhhhmazing spa this afternoon so A and DH will have a few hours to themselves tomorrow we are going to our neighbors surprise 25th anniversary party and we are leaving A for the first time with my IL's, sniff sniff I know it must be done eventually! No plans for Sunday!

QOTD: I enrolled myself and A in a survey for Enbrel. I take it for ankylosing spondylitis and I took it as infrequently as possible while I was pregnant, only 3 doses, and I am doing the same while BFing, only 5 doses since she was born. Since they can't do controlled studies for it, they set up a voluntary data collection study and they send me a survey every few months and asked for permission to talk to my docs and A's pediatrician.

MH is working all weekend so its just another day alone with my kiddies.  Construction still continues on our basement so I have to be home 24/7.  Whaaaaaaaaaa.  Pity party for one over here.  I just wanna take a freaking nap.

Nada this weekend and I'm happy with that! Just spending time with dh and ds before my husband leaves town Monday morning. Taken all the help I can get from him this weekend before he goes. Other then that walking a friends dog and being lazy!

We are attending some goodbye parties and packing. T-1 week to moving day! Sunday is football Sunday here. Go eagles! QOTW: no, he's not. I would but we haven't been offered anything nor have I seen any notices about anything.

BIL is coming in for the weekend. He adores the twins, so this should be fun. we might go to a local family farm and let the kids play. And them the usual: a ton of laundry!

DH and I are going away for the w/e, staying at the Hotel California from the Eagles song in Palm Springs. Sunday is our 6th anniversary and we will benefit from a relaxing getaway while LO is lovingly indulged by her grandparents.

We are spending to weekend at home. We never got our dog spayed and she is now 5 with several breast tumors. The vet recommended she get spayed and have the tumors removed. So she is in surgery today and we'll be taking care of her all weekend. I'm actually happy we have no plans. Ill be catching up on some TV hopefully

QOTD: no, we have never signed DS up for any studies.

@Cwhitaker27 - these research labs found me.  My understanding is that they obtain birth records (which is public) and then do mass mailings to all the new parents.  The mailings explain what they do and have links to the labs' websites so I can learn more about them.

I was in the medical field, and DH is a research scientist.  I feel it's worthwhile to participate so M can add something to science research on infants.  Being a SAHM, it's not too difficult for me to drag M in for a study, but I can imagine it's tough for working parents to participate when they are so busy already.

That's great! We're lucky to have people like you. I haven't ever gotten anything like that in the mail, ill have to check it out.

We are having our annual Halloween party tonight!! Which I'm really excited about, the part that sucks is that Hannah has a cold . So we'll see how she does tonight.

No big plans for the rest of the weekend, I would like to get a pedicure on Saturday, just really want a nice relaxing time.

QOTW: I really intended/wanted to sign Hannah up for a research project, I just never did.

Happy Friday!!

I was hoping for a weekend at home, just the three of us, since DH went fishing last weekend but it seems that MIL has complained she hasn't seen H in a while (my parents have gone longer without seeing him but whatever) so they're coming. Shoot me now, horrible week capped off with these people that give me anxiety. Ugh.

Other than that I'm going to catch up on grading/planning and baby proofing the house now that H is getting around very quickly.

QOTW: No studies for H. We're running ragged with all of his doctor appointments to even be able to squeeze something like that in. DH and I did two studies while going through IVF though.

Happy weekend, everyone!

We don't have major plans this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to a big city wide craft show with my mom and sisters and then were having lunch with my grandma who is in town. Then in the afternoon were making ourselves scarce as we have a showing on our house (send good vibes!!!). My BIL is coming over so well probably drive around and look at houses and get a bite to eat. Other than that well just hang out!

@mnj05 that totally sucks. How often does your ILs stop by? I hate last-minute visits.

@chiwifey - the party sounds cute! I hope it's great and can't wait to hear about it!!

@pb_bride - they live 2 hours away (as does my parents, we grew up in the same town) so they don't come by often, MIL just complains a lot about it. She thinks that now that H is here, we have to be home more often. That's a lot of gas money lady. My main reason for being so mad about it this weekend is that DH left at 6am last Friday morning (not yesterday, last week) to go fishing and didn't get home until after 9:30pm Sunday night and H had a bad weekend. I really need this weekend to clean the house and relax for once. Red Ribbon Week plus Halloween at work (middle school) was exhausting. Plus I can't stand them, they act they are the parents, don't even acknowledge me, and are constantly in H's face.

I'm calling my parents though and telling them to get their behinds down here tomorrow. They will since my mom has been wanting to see H and they know it'll help back MIL off.
