FREAKING out at nap time

dd is usually really great at sleep time. i can just lay her in the crib and she'd go right to sleep. the past few days she's been not only trying to not sleep, but she goes crazy about it! she'll start getting frustrated, hitting the crib, smacking herself on the sides of her face.... idk what's going on with her. any help would be appreciated.

DS goes through days/phases like this every couple of weeks.  It's usually one of the following:

separation anxiety, new skill/milestone, teething, illness

After a few days, he goes back to his usual self.

Seeing that your DD is 13 months old, could she be ready to drop her nap?  DS isn't ready yet, but there are days he doesn't want to nap if he's not tired enough, or overtired...
