Thank you, Universe! — The Bump
Pregnant after a Loss

Thank you, Universe!

I've been trying to cut way back on sodium to help with my swelling and BP. Dinner last night was plain grilled chicken and vegetables. Super gross.

BUT

HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Bar

Hershey's chocolate has very little sodium.

This is me right now

  • Ha!  I always left plenty of room for chocolate in my low sodium diet too.  I was generally in a good range if I stayed away from sauces, condiments, and breads. I may have been known to order a cheeseburger to-go and then put my lower sodium mustard on it at home.  I think I ate my weight in raw pecans too, since they had zero sodium.  Hang in there boots!

Ugh, I didn't even think about breads. I guess I need to check the labels. Good call on the pecans, though, cashews are more my thing. Raw cashews with dried cherries = awesomesauce.

  • Even better, there's a study out there that links dark chocolate to a decreased risk of PreE. Score!

When I was limiting sodium with DS's PG my favorites were eggs and peanut butter (but not together of course).

Cashews and cherries sounds like a great combination--I have cherries in the fridge; might need to acquire cashews this weekend. Enjoy your chocolate!
