Bah Humbug.

This year I am going to be "that house" with it's lights off. No candy here. It's too painful seeing other people's absolutely adorable kids paraded to my front door. In years past, I've dressed up our dog as a sheriff which the kids absolutely love. And even though it was painful, I did find some fun in it. But this year it just feels pathetic.  I just can't stomach it tonight. I think DH and I are going to leave the house for dinner or something just so we don't even have to hear the doorbell ring over and over. I want November to be here already.

Is anyone else skipping Halloween this year?

Yes, I am over it this year.

Got my husband a scratch ticket and a halloween card and put it in his lunch.

I was so very lucky to switch off Saturday to work today (no one wants to work Halloween here!!)

By the time I get home, I hope it's over.

Halloween is usually "safe" for me since we live in a condo building and don't get trick or treaters. I will admit that I'm already dreading Thanksgiving/Christmas though. It seems like every year I tell myself, "Maybe next year will be the year that we'll have a little one to celebrate with". Not so much. No desire to be merry & bright over here. Now I'm the Scrooge!

Hugs Liz!  I am skipping it too.  I will be at the gym and then straight out for dinner.  I guess it's a "tradition" that I'm not ready to give up.  I think Halloween is dumb anyway (there's my UO for the day)

We've been "that house" for a few years now.  It is raining and miserable here today though so hopefully most of them will stay home.  

I can't believe how scroogy that sounds but that is how I feel.

MMMMMmmmm.  I'm on my couch eating pizza.   But I love Halloween.  It's my favorite.  I even carved a scary pumpkin.  We live in the country so we don't get little ones knocking on our door.

I just decided that I can't do it. All day at work I tried to keep up the happy face and enjoy. I wore a pathetic angel costume. Now I'm home DH is still gone in AZ and I just shut down lights and closed the blinds. I thought I could do it but I just can't . Not tonight. And in freakin over Facebook. Ugh I can hear kids out there now. Boo go away
