FFTC Halloween Edition

I saved the crappy candy from a parade we went to just so I have something to give out to ToTers not in costume. We always get a big group of teenage boys too cool to dress up.



My ILs always always ask for us to bring the kids over in costume on Halloween. I always make other plans just so I have an excuse not to. I share every other holiday with them, Halloween is for me.

I am batman today. Lastnight I was sexy batwoman for DH.... It was pretty funny!!

I made over 45 cupcakes lastnight. I only brought in a dozen for work.... and a dozen for daycare.

I am not dressing DS up at all and my family is super dissappointed. Hey if you want a three month old in a costume, you go waste your money mom.

Unless they are infirm, they can come to you for Halloween.

Also finding candy that is peanut free and nored dye #40 is hard. I finally stumbled upon tootsie rolls! We are having a party tomorrow and I wanted to make sure we had candy for all the kids. One has a peanut allergy and one has an intolerance for red dye #40.

@wiggyslilsis, that sucks for those kids.  I don't like tootsie rolls, but it was really nice of you to find candy they could eat.

My FFTC is that we bought a bag of fun-sized chocolate assortment, and I have eaten several of the Almond Joys (because everyone knows that kids hate those), and DH has eaten the Reeses (gotta get them out of there for the peanut allergy kids).  We're doing it for the children.

We'll definitely eat all of DS' candy. I don't think he's ever had candy, so what does he care? 

I also stopped at Target after spin the other day and bought KiT Kats "for Halloween." Not only did I eat a bunch just on the drive home, but they're all gone now.

I bought Halloween candy over a week ago and half of it is gone. Ah well. Its raining out and we get about 3-5 kids (if we're lucky) all night...

I didn't bother with a costume for DD2 this year. MIL just sent her a cute orange and white sweater dress with pumpkin shaped pockets, so that's her Halloween outfit. I talked DD1 into being a "nerd" for Halloween because we could easily put together an outfit out of stuff she already owned. Am I cheap or am I brilliant? Maybe both? You be the judge.

I cannot get it up for Halloween this year. DH carved the pumpkins, took DD1 to zoo ToTing and we didn't take her to the neighborhood one last night because she was absolutely horrid. 

I ended up giving leftover candy from may to our neighbor to give out because I was sick of looking at. 

I'm the fucking Halloween grinch.

It's kinda sad that I got more in the Halloween spirit once we decided DW and I weren't going to try to do a family costume and were just gonna dress up DS.
