The double J's is too cutesy for me, I wouldn't do it. But if you love Jillian and want to use Jane as a MN, the two are said so infrequently together its really not that big a deal to do it (assuming you don't plan to use the double name)
I like it. I like PP's suggestion of Lillian, too, though that one seems more popular to me. I adore Jane and also agree that it would be great as a FN.

Alliteration does not bother me at all-- so I don't mind it. Love both names.

I think that's why Julia Jane and Joanna Joy don't sound as bad to my ear as Jillian Jane.
