Ambien?

Has anyone taken it during their pregnancy?

Re: Ambien?

  • Never during my pregnancy. They did give it to me the night before I went into labor, which is a whole other story.

  • It can be prescribed in pregnancy but most take plain Unisom in the 1st trimester.
  • My doctor said I could take it, but I was wondering if other doctors said it wasn't ok. I want a few opinions before making my decision :)
Unisom doesn't work for me at all and I'm not sleeping. I'm getting depressed and just generally feel miserable.

Haha! I had some crazy experiences, but I've been taking it for so long now that it doesn't do that to me anymore.

I would love to hear the rest of this story! They gave it to me, too, when I'd been at the hospital thinking I was in labor and was not progressing. I spent the entire night having hallucinations. SO scary!
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • I get restless legs and bad leg cramps during pregnancy, so I took it my last 2 pregnancies a few times per week during the 2nd & third trimester. My doc doesn't prescribe it for 1st trimester. I generally try to avoid any meds 1st tri except nausea meds
