I feel like I'm letting DD watch a ton of TV lately and I'd like to start working on something with her. She's almost 2.5.
Is it too early to start phonics and how do I do it? I tried showing her 3 letter words and writing her name. She didn't get it. Anyone have fun learning activities or links to print-outs? She can memorize whole board books, but still doesn't seem to understand that a word on a page matches a spoken word.

I think I'll buy a bead storage bin since I need another and we'll play with letters until she gets bored of it.
l do a letter a week, and use printable packs from this site. I will do other activities to to go with our theme.
