I'm freaking out and not sure what to do. Today is DH's day to keep DS home. I texted him some random question at 11:15. I realized he never answered. So, I text again and email. No response. I've called several times. It rings a few times and goes to voicemail, so his phone isn't dead. I'm freaking out. He should be home with DS doing lunch/nap now, so it's not like he's somewhere with no cell service. I am imagining the worst and I just have to sit here at work and act like I'm not about to lose it.

Maybe he left his phone in the car? Or somewhere he might not be able to reach it?

What scares me is he's obsessed with his phone and email. His job requires twitter use too.

Do you have a neighbor you could call to check on them? I've done that before and just explained I was a little freaked out.

Hmmm, my friend lives in our neighborhood, I'll see if she's home by any chance. But we don't know anyone else we moved in not too long ago.

Maybe DS napped early and daddy and son went out to lunch or the park.  I'm used to my hubs not answering me and when he goes out he tends to leave his cell in the car, maybe he this.

I want so badly to think of a scenario that makes sense for him, but I can't. It's highly unlikely he's napping, just based on knowing DH. Now the phone is going straight to voicemail?? I am very bad at jumping to the worst case, but the fact that DS is with him is like quadrupling my anxiety.

How far away are you? Can you go home at lunch and check on them?

It sounds like his phone is dead. Is there a landline you could call?

I'm bad at playing out worst case scenarios too.

Lunch is almost over. Of course I've eaten nothing because I want to vomit. If I don't hear by 2, I guess I'll just tell my supervisor I have to go home.

He answered!! He says he just got all the messages and my voicemail at one time, just now, said his phone never rang. I'm not sure I believe him, but I guess he really doesn't have a reason to lie. We communicate so often throughout the day, it's just so unlike him to not answer. Annnd now lunch is over and I've eaten nothing. Thanks for your rational words everyone. Sorry I freaked out. God, that sucked.

He may have put his phone in a dead zone.  We have the all over our house.

Glad everythings OK! -- For the record, my phone has done that before... I'll have missed calls come through with it never ringing, etc...or a bunch of messages pop through at once ... it can happen!
