Can I catch a fucking break

I posted a couple weeks ago about moving into an apartment that was totally infested with fleas. Well we packed up and threw out a bunch of our stuff and moved into a new .... even nicer place. I'll note that neither of these places seemed run down in the least.. They are actually very modern and updated. Anyways.. Couple weeks into living at our new place and I notice little shells of a tiny brown striped oval thing in various places, on the walls, corners of the carpets etc. Pest control comes and identifies what I found as something called carpet weevils. He is sending an exterminator tomorrow to supposedly treat the issue and he says they are not a big deal and I shouldn't be seeing any more of it. The pessimist in me thinks he's full of shit. Some small pest that can live in the carpet? Ugh. I vow to NEVER rent again after this lease.
