Why yes, that IS my child you're smelling

I took my kid to the pedi today because he's had a fever and a history of putting crap in his nose, plus he sneezed something out last night. She said she couldn't see anything but she could SMELL it. I can't smell anything, but apparently other people can. So yeah, my kid has something festering in his nose. We were referred to an ENT, where he'll have to be sedated so they can remove it.

Damn kids and shoving shit up their noses. Andplusalso...that is pretty weird that they were able to SMELL something jammed in his nose.

I had a friend who kept smelling something awful coming from her daughter, couldn't figure out what it was or where it was coming from.  Brought her to the doctor and turns out she had shoved carpet fibers up her nose.

Did you try a mothers kiss? It is probably stuck up there too good but it worked for me when DD stuck a pompom up her nose. You blow into their mouth and over the
Non clogged nostril. Gross but effective.

A friend of mine's kid started smelling terrible, so they took him to the pedi. Turned out he had shoved a kidney bean from his chili up his nose. They had had chili like a month before.

We're going in tomorrow morning. I'm really curious about what it is, too, although if it's rotting in the nose it may be unidentifiable? Whatever he sneezed out yesterday night looked kind of like meat, but I couldn't trace it to any particular meal.

I wonder if they'll think I'm weird if I ask to inspect it when they pull it out.
