Cute! I really want to carve "June 2014" into a pumpkin and take a pic holding it in front of my belly but DH wants to wait until after our first u/s to announce. I'm getting so antsy though!

Yeah we definitely waited til after we had our u/s to make any sort of announcement.  We actually had two before I announced, but that's only because I had my first one real early so they wanted to do another scan at 8 weeks.  Luckily everything seems to be right on track so I couldn't wait to tell people any longer!

Love this idea! I am thinking of doing something similar but using acrylic paint to write our names on the big pumpkins and putting "Due June 2014" on the baby one.

I have a picture announcement with pumpkins waiting, too, but we won't show our family for a little while still. I want to be able to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler.

Very cute! I was going to try and do something fun for our announcement but FIL was so excited with the news of the twins last week that he outed us on facebook and pretty much all our family saw. So I ended up posting the ultrasound pic and said "Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm knocked up, and guess what?! There's TWO!" I did have a little disclaimer that I was only 8 weeks and that I would appreciate thoughts and prayers for the babies continued healthy development. DH was more upset about it than I was, he wanted to say something to his dad but I didn't see the point since I know he just did it out of excitement and wasn't trying to hurt anybody, no point in making him feel bad IMO.

The pumpkin ideas are adorable!

We will probably share closer to Thanksgiving. I'll have to think of something with a turkey lol.

I am thinking of announcing at Thanksgiving. .. maybe something like "mom has another little turkey in the oven"... but just to family only. I didn't Facebook announce last time until we knew the sex.

Love these pics! I had some very similar ideas, been searching on Pinterest for a while now but I've just been too tired and lazy to do anything. Plus I'm afraid to announce too soon. Anyone have good thanksgiving ideas?!
