I am considering the weight watchers online program for nursing moms since it turns out I am one of the unlucky ones that breastfeeding does not = weight loss. I lost 20 lbs initially and since then have been stuck at the same weight. I would like to lose at least 20 more lbs. I like the idea of gradual/consistent weight loss but I need a plan. I don't think I am eating enough actually so I think the points thing will help with that.
Anyone have any experience with the plan for nursing moms or the online version of WW?
Yes! I did the monthly pass using all the online tools but also attended meetings. I lost 55 lbs on ww while nursing DD1. I gained back 30 while pregnant and went back to my first meeting this past weekend. It feels good to be back. I'm truly hungry from nursing, all the time, so I'm working on healthy, filling snacks right now. Let me know if you have any more specific questions. I'm very happy to share my experiences.
I'm thinking of doing this as well. I've done WW in the past and it definitely works. I'm a FTM so I never do the BF program. I'm just making sure I'm ready to commit the time to cooking, measuring and weighing before I sign up.
It worked really well while I was nursing DS2. I lost 50lbs and my supply never even dipped. I am just starting to get into it now at 6 weeks pp. I do just online, and love the app.

Any good suggestions for filling snacks? I feel like I'm starving all day!

I try to pair a fruit or vegetable with something with protein and or a little fat to make it more filling. I've found that fruit and veggies alone just don't curb my hunger. Apple and cheese. Banana and almonds. Red pepper and hummus. Fresh fruit in plain Greek yogurt with a little honey. Oatmeal with a cut up banana in it. Smoothies made with yogurt and frozen fruit. Apples with homemade pumpkin butter. I'm looking for more ideas right now too, especially because I'm eliminating dairy to see if DD2 is sensitive. A lot of my go-to snacks involve cheese or yogurt. My favorite site for ww-friendly recipes is skinnytaste.com. Great meal ideas on there and some snacks too. I made her pumpkin muffins this weekend. Yum!
Highly recommend WW in general (I previously lost 150 pounds on the online program) and the nursing program (lost 20 pounds after my first pregnancy by doing online and meetings). I was lifetime and plan to get there again.
Visit the WW boards (free) for lots of snack ideas (I recommend the Newbies board for general information/recommendations). But some good ideas are fruit, veggies, things with whole grains and protein combined are great (think something like a wheat bagel thin with a little peanut butter, or an apple and small amount of almonds, etc). You want to try to get the biggest bang (filling wise) for your lowest points buck.
I think I'm going to do it. My weight has not budged in 6wks. Like you, I think I'm not eating enough vs. eating too much. As a matter of fact, I think I'll go join right now since I've been thinking about it.
