My niece and DD go to the same daycare. SIL had a baby last week so I offered to pick up my niece while getting my DD, and take her home. My niece is 3 years old and is pushing 40 lbs. My SIL told me that there is a spare carseat with the sitter and that she still is still rear facing. She left it up to me if I want to rear face or front face. I don't want to make that call.
I thought that 3 years old and pushing 40 lbs would be definitely old enough and heavy enough to front face for quite some time now. Am I right or is it more a personal choice?
Re: Carseat Question, more curiosity
It is safer to rear face. DS is three and thirty pounds and still rear faces.
Ya, I am absolutely going to keep her rf'ing because that is what her Mother is doing with her. I wouldn't feel comfortable making that decision to forward face her in my car.
Was just curious for the future with my DD
